Finally ... [link to New York Times article] some good news! As a longtime organic vegetable gardener (Frances and I are looking forward to some heirloom tomatoes later this year) and as someone trained in biology and thus appreciative of the value of good nutrition and sustainable growing practices, I am extremely impressed by our First Lady’s new hobby and her reasons for undertaking it, particularly in setting a good example for children, and thus families and communities, nationwide: At a time when trillions are flashing before our eyes, this is $200 well spent!
