SUBJECT: Fact Check in the Health Care Debate

I think the subtitle of this AP article, from Yahoo! News, tells it all: “Distortions rife in health care debate.”

To help set the record — and a lot of our fellow citizens’ minds — right, check this out (Link here; text below) ...

I think it unconscionable that the Right is purposefully misleading people — including scaring seniors into believing that Obama and the Democrats in Congress want to “euthanize” them! How low will the Right go? And how stupid they are: Don’t they realize that however healthy or well-insured or wealthy they are now, all that can come to a bitter end with one major illness? Health care expenses are still the number one cause of personal bankruptcies, and most of those people had health insurance when they first got sick.

Help set the record straight, especially now, as the Right shifts into overdrive in their propaganda campaigns — of falsehoods — this month of Congressional recess.

Reform health care? Yes, we can! And will.
