As a Guest and Guest-Host on a Cable TV Talk Show
Click image to view the Sept. 28, 2005 NewsRap segment devoted to saving community access television.
Beginning with my analysis of the controversial 2004 election, I presented my research into breaking news stories live on a popular Pasadena, California, cable access TV show, which I would guest host during Hurricane Katrina and co-produce in 2007 and 2008.
The list below summarizes the subject matter I researched and presented with the host, Barry Gordon, on the cablecasts and simultaneous webcasts. In addition, the links below lead to original materials related to these shows, including my contemporaneous blog postings available at right as PDF documents: In particular, Do the Math got me noticed on the national stage; Hard Lessons, brought to the attention of DNC members and other activists, presaged the rise of a charismatic leader of the Democratic party (not unlike candidate, then-President Barack Obama); and an excerpt from Poison Pill, posted in Comments From Left Field, was quoted by BBC News online.

When Barry started his talk radio show Barry Gordon from Left Field, in early 2006, I became his researcher and webmaster. I eventually co-produced that show and various episodes of NewsRap (including our Election Special, shortly before Super Tuesday 2008), and I helped create his Internet talk radio show.
